Our services in detail
One Energy Projects designs, installs, funds and maintains solar PV systems for businesses across the UK. Our MCS and NICEIC accredited team takes care of every stage, so you get lower energy bills and lower carbon emissions without the hassle.
Solar feasibility studies
Every good solar project starts with the right information. Our feasibility study tells you whether solar makes sense for your site, how big the system should be and what return to expect.
We start with a desktop assessment, then one of our engineers carries out a full site and structural survey. We look at your roof’s condition, pitch, orientation and shading, your half-hourly energy use, grid capacity (we apply to your local network operator on your behalf) and planning requirements. Most rooftop systems under 1MW are permitted development.
You get a clear report covering system design, expected generation, bill and carbon savings, payback and your funding options, including buying outright or a fully funded PPA.
Solar PV design and installation
We deliver turnkey commercial solar projects from concept to completion. Our in-house team handles design and engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and grid connection, with one project lead from start to finish.
We’re accredited installers for leading manufacturers including Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, Sungrow and SolaX, and our projects range up to 1.45 MWp on a single site. Installations are planned around your operations to keep disruption to a minimum, and you get a full handover pack with warranties, monitoring and certification.
Fully funded solar PPAs with no upfront cost
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) lets your business go solar with no capital outlay. A funder pays for the system, we design, install and maintain it, and you buy the electricity it generates at an agreed rate, typically below what you pay your energy supplier.
There’s no upfront cost and no maintenance bills, and you get lower, more predictable electricity costs for the length of the agreement. At the end of the 25-year agreement you own the system, which keeps generating for years. If you sell the building, the new owners can take over or buy out the agreement. PPAs suit businesses with high daytime electricity use and a suitable roof.
Operations and maintenance
A solar system is a 25-year-plus investment, and regular maintenance protects it. Our in-house team monitors your system remotely in real time, with monitoring delivered in partnership with Greenworld Solutions.
Our packages include scheduled inspections and electrical testing, panel cleaning, fast response to faults, proactive repairs and regular performance reports. We maintain systems we’ve installed and systems fitted by other installers.
Solar health checks
Is your solar system producing what it should? Many older systems quietly lose output to faulty inverters, damaged panels, poor connections or shading that has grown over time.
Our health check inspects the array, tests the electrics, checks the inverters and reviews your generation data. You get a clear report with findings and recommendations, prioritised by cost and impact. It’s ideal if you’ve bought a building with solar already fitted, your original installer is no longer trading, or output has dropped.
Remedial works and repairs
When a health check or monitoring finds a problem, our remedials team fixes it. We diagnose the root cause and carry out targeted repairs to restore performance and extend your system’s life.
Typical work includes panel replacements; inverter repairs, replacements and upgrades; cabling, connector and isolator faults; mounting and roof-fixing repairs; and upgrades to add battery storage or monitoring.
Power factor correction, harmonic filtering and voltage optimisation
Power quality problems waste energy and money. If your site runs motors, compressors or other heavy loads, a poor power factor can mean reactive power charges on your bills and extra strain on your equipment.
Power factor correction reduces reactive power, cutting those charges and freeing up capacity on your supply. Harmonic filtering removes the electrical distortion that can cause faults and overheating. Voltage optimisation brings incoming voltage down to the level your equipment needs, reducing consumption. We survey your supply, measure the problem and recommend the right solution, often alongside a solar installation.
EV charging
Our OneEV team installs EV chargers for workplaces, fleets and homes, and can link them to your solar system so vehicles charge on your own clean power. Find out more about OneEV.
